Michael Lints has over 20 years of experience as an operator and investor. He is a partner at Golden Gate Ventures where he leads the firm’s first venture capital fund in the MENA region, focusing on investing in early to mid-stage startups in the Middle East. Michael holds several board positions at startups across Southeast Asia and MENA and is a board member of the International Advisory Board (IABx) for the Municipality of Rotterdam.

Previously, Michael co-founded an IT-managed services startup, was a vice-chairman of the Economic Development Board Rotterdam and was chairman of the Young Economic Development Board. Michael is co-director of the award-winning social impact documentary Broken Chains. Michael further collaborates with world-renowned players in the sports entertainment industry, bridging sports and venture capital.

Michael’s ample experience as a chairman and board member as well as his financial expertise make him perfectly suited to chair the management board of the Consumer Justice Foundation in its objective of protecting consumer interests.
